The B-29 aircraft featured in Fallout: New Vegas is based on the real-world crash of a Boeing B-29 into Lake Mead in 1948. Learn about the aircraft’s scientific successes, how it came to rest on the bottom of the lake and the quest to find it.
Presenters Jeff Wedding and Susan Edwards, DRI archaeologists and researchers, have decades of experience in Cold War nuclear and scientific programs, mining, and military training landscapes.
