Volunteer

Volunteer at the National Atomic Testing Museum!

Our volunteers play a vital role in our educational programming, events, and exhibits. We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who want to be a part of our team. We invite you to explore the volunteer opportunities we have available and to discover which one may be right for you.

Docents: Museum docents are essential members of our team. Docents are volunteers who provide group learning experiences in the form of museum tours and greeting guests. Our docents receive training to lead guided tours and support ongoing educational programming.

Visitor Services: Visitor services volunteers answer questions, give directions, and offer advice on how visitors can spend their time at the museum. They may also support events and educational activities.

Event Crew: Event crew volunteers work to support our events and educational activities. These volunteers may be asked to assist with checking in guests, answering questions, giving directions, photographing events, and helping to ensure our events run smoothly.

Behind-the-scenes Volunteers: Our behind-the-scenes volunteers perform tasks that support the museum’s Curatorial Department. This work may include scanning documents, researching topics, and supporting other curatorial efforts.
